Day 5 Kandy

Day one of our visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Kandy included a night visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka's most prized possession Buddah's Tooth. The visit coincided with the daily viewing of the gold clad replica of the relic (apparently the real relic is too prized to show). The internal buildings (the original shrine) are immaculately carved and painted.
